  • Joint/ connecting system: By applying this method the wires are connected with the help of joints that are placed in the joint box. This is a temporary and effective way of wiring and can be used during the renovation process or in the process of making a building or a home or a factory. This method requires comparatively less use of cables wires and saves that cost but this cost saving is nullified by purchasing of joint boxes which makes the total costs approximately equal to the cost associated with the cables. Many Industrial electrical wiring is done with the help of this system. In using this system there are several disadvantages that we need to face. These are:
    1. The fault points cannot be accessed easily as the wiring is done and covered with pipes with limited cable. So it is basically a hit and trial way.
    2. The joints are open and they can get wear and tear very soon. The spoilage and damaging of wires is much in this system.

This system has some advantages as well. Some of these are:

  1. It is overall less costly than the other system of wirings.
  2. This system can be suitable at any lace that is under construction, where renovation is taking place or where there is some fault in the cables.
  • Loop system: This method is used at every place where permanent wiring is being done. This method makes a loop with the lines and conductor that allows the appliances to be used as and when they are plugged into the switch or socket. The advantage of using this system of wiring is that:
    1. There is no need to waste too much money on the joint boxes and money can be saved a lot.
    2. It is easy to detect where the fault is as all the wiring is done at that points from where we can access our appliances.
    3. Also no joint is placed on roof or on walls in this system.

Other than this there are some disadvantages as well that needs to be taken care of. These are:

  1. It is not that easy to loop the switches and plugs with this system.
  2. The quantity of wire and cables required in this system is high in quantity.
